Standing "behind" your stalled vehicle in a traffic lane is stupid. As  their bodies blocked their taillights!  The stalled cars 'body paint color' blends into the atmosphere.  Making it difficult for a persons brain to recognize a big object such as a car is in their path.  They should of got off the road completely by going to the shoulder with the car at first signs of car problems, or walked to the shoulder.
