This little recipe display board or easel, is kinda amazing. The back story is a son invented this for his aging mother. She was a pretty darn good cook in her day. When she developed cataracts it was pretty difficult for her to see her recipe card while she was cooking. She was always picking it up off the counter or toaster and reading it then setting back down somewhere it would stay clean.
The overhead light kept casting her shadow as well so you would have to turn around to see in the light. What a nuisance. So her son, me, watched this go on for half an hour or better. There had to be a better way. That was back in 1985 or so.
Today every gal in the family who cooks has their very own American Recipe Easel.
